Opening Doors
Sometimes you just have to open a door to let the sunshine of life step in. This happily happened to me one typical morning, organic oatmeal was on the stove and I had just poured a cup of hot coffee. It was a little chilly outside but the air was crisp and clean after a rainy night. As I walked to open the front door to get the local newspaper to find out if the world was still there or whether should I make new plans for the day, to my surprise as I opened the door wide google-eyed I looked down at the doorstep and there sat a dog smiling back at me without his collar! ‘Oh isn't he cute’ I thought to myself. The little dog crooked his head looking curiously at me waiting to see what would happen next and how I would respond. Knowing quite well that I would melt which I did. I gasped and said “What’s up dog?” He responded moving closer tugging on my heart strings and another crook of his head. I forgot the newspaper and the troubles of the day, a wave of pure love washed over me, and I invited him in. Now I gotta tell you this dog was special. A muse and he knew it! With the invitation to come in he gingerly pranced on in. I knew a long time friendship had been born and at that very moment I knew that there was a wonderful tale about to unfold. Charlie D. Dog's Adventure Quest - A tale of being lost and what Charlie found is the beginning of the tale. So is your dog dish half full, is life getting you down dawg? If so, then this is the uplifting tale for you! Enjoy! - Big Guy
